It was 4 AM on the morning of October 12th as i drug myself out of bed with sleep still in my eyes faced with the task of finishing packing for training camp. You see i am a procrastinator so this was nothing new for me as i began to trudge around and gather up what i thought i might need for the upcoming week.

Upon completion of packing it was time to get on the road and head to the airport. I arrived at the airport a couple of hours before my departure time so i waited patiently at the terminal with my good friend Cortney from A-squad as we were on the same flight. We were sharing our thoughts and excitement with each other as we anticipated our meeting of the rest of our squad mates.

We boarded the plane and after an easy flight we had arrived in Atlanta. We scurried to baggage claim and after waiting forever for our bags we headed to the Atrium to meet up with our respected squads. I immediately was met with warm smiles and hellos from strangers that the extent of our relationships had been through social media. I felt such peace about these people becoming my new family.

We sat around for a while chatting with each other and then we were greeted by one of our Squad trainers Bethany. She is awesome btw. We then loaded up on a yellow school bus (no joke) and began our trek to Copperhill, TN. Upon arrival we were greeted by a bunch of people waving and going crazy like they were cheering for us (so cool). We met our mobilizer Steven and were given packets and our name tag necklaces for the week. We then set up camp and the fun had begun.

Stay tuned for part 2…..
