We are leaving South Africa in two days… two days! TWO MONTHS just went by in the blink of an eye, I can only imagine how fast these days are going to go! However, we leave our ministry site tomorrow, due to the fact that we have to drive 18 hours to get to the airport. So bags have been packed, the house has been cleaned, and final goodbyes have been said.

Our ministry site has a really great church, a school and a Bible College. While we have gotten the opportunity to get to know many of the people at the church and school, we interacted mostly with students at the Bible College. They would come over to us when we came up to the church, do ministry with us and then, at night, would come over and hang out. Getting to know them was really great. I gained a ton of friends the past two months. God truly blessed us with the people He surrounded us with here.

I feel like I learned a lot from them, and I hope that we have left them with something as well. We were gathered, so often, as a community of believers. We were constantly building each other up, constantly affirming things from God in each other, constantly empowering each other.

They encouraged me a lot. They left me with things to ponder on as we continue on our journey. I am leaving South Africa feeling empowered, feeling built up by each and every one of them.

Surrounding yourself with people that strive to build you up, in an honest way, is so important. I had the privilege to be able to spend time with all of these people, these amazing people. I am leaving South Africa feeling empowered. I feel as though I am leaving South Africa better than I was when I got here.

As iron sharpens iron, so does one person sharpen another. (Proverbs 27:17)

They came, they empowered, they preached, they encouraged, they sharpened. This group built us up, and I am so thankful for that. I am so sad to have to say goodbye.

But now… onto the Philippines!
