Well we didn’t make it to Mozambique … and we’re still here in Malawi. One thing I’ve learned about God is that He wants us to hold our plans loosely. Even though I thought 11 countries would be guaranteed on the Race . . God holds a better reason. I believe God still has unfinished work for us here, and more to teach us!

This month has been an easy transition already because we have a community here and are familiar with the capital. Because of the difficulties entering Mozambique and last minute adjustments my team has settled in with a church in the capital and we will be serving and encouraging the church and community until the end of the month. Already a 9 year old boy named Calvin has been one reason for us to stay in Malawi. Calvin has been an encouragement to his church in great ways!!

My teammate Major decide it would be a good idea to start a men’s Bible study. A hand full of men came, and then along came Calvin.

As he sat down I realized his presence of just showing up is incredibly radicle and bold. He didn’t have anything to say but his presence rang loader.

By how he is choosing to live it is upping the anti for his community, as his actions impact those around him.

Something I’ve been encouraged by and wanted to share.

Happy New Year!
