We flew out of Dublin at 4pm on Thursday and got into Bucharest, Romania somewhere around 9pm with the time change. Immediately from there we took a six to seven hour bus ride to where we will be living for the rest of the month. We are in a town called Viile Tecii living with gypsies. We’ve been here less than a week but this is definitely the fastest we’ve connected to people so far. Part of that has to do with our living accommodations. We’re paired up with team Fuego this month and I am excited because our teams have very different strengths and I think we are going to learn a lot from each other. There are three different places our teams are staying, but all of them are with families in the community and we live within 100 yards of each other.

Since we’ve arrived we’ve been able to get back on a normal sleeping schedule, demolish and rebuild a shed at one of our family’s homes, go to three church services on Sunday that took up the entire day, and watch a calf get slaughtered in the morning and be on our plates at dinner. Today we are going to be starting more of our normal and consistent ministries here. Some of us will be doing a little cleaning and construction in the neighborhood, some will be working at a local orphanage, and others will be putting on a VBS/kids club at one of the churches we go to here.

This was service three of the day. They love music here and everyone from the                    One of the chilfren at the calf slaughter,
congregation likes to get up and sing a song…by themselves…hence
the long services.        enjoying a carrot.
