To those who know me, you will probably agree. I am a hard and stubborn person at times. Well yesterday I finally listened to something the Lord had been telling me over and over, something I know to be true.
I am having troubles with praying…
That was hard for me to admit to my team, but now it is out to the world. I am a person known to be a prayer warrior. But lately I struggle to get through one meaningful prayer. I know this to be an attack from the enemy, and FINALLY I am listening to my Father, when he has been telling me over and over how to fix it.
Many people in my squad and on my team have spoken and passed around a book that has a very powerful message of prayer. This book is “The Circle Maker” by Mark Batterson.
INSTANTLY after the first words, I started to feel a healing. I started to see what I am doing RIGHT in my prayer life, and more importantly, I started to see one by one what I’m doing WRONG.
I am only in the first few chapters, but my soul is OVERJOYED to allow others into my struggle and the share a few thoughts from today’s reading.
-God is for us, but we have no clue what we want God to do for us. That makes our prayers boring to us, and uninspiring to God”
-Sometimes we pray so vague, that we will not be able to know if God had even answered our prayers of not.
-“We pawn our God-given dream for the American Dream”
-“If you don’t define success for yourself, you have no way to know if you have succeed.”
-“It’s not about BEING in the right place at the right time; it’s about BEING the right person, even when you find yourself in the WRONG circumstances.”
-Potential is God’s gift to us. What we do with it is our gift back to Him.
