..So take me to North Carolina, I won’t be there by tomorrow, but heaven knows I’m on my way..
I haven’t done a picture post in a while so I just wanted to share this amazing country of Albania with yall back home.
This past Sunday after church we took off for a overnight hike and camp up Mount Dajti.
Mount Dajti is one of the highest of the local mountains that surround Tirana. These mountains are part of the Balkans that run through Eastern Europe. Mount Dajti is 1,613 meters high (5,292 ft). It doesn’t sound very high, but with Tirana only being a couple hundred feet above sea level, it’s a steep hike.
It holds breath taking views of the whole of Tirana as well as a view of the surrounding Balkans. The landscape was the foothills of North Carolina to a tee. For 24 hours, after 6 months of being away, I was back home. It felt like I was only just a few minutes outside of Winston Salem.
It was a breath of fresh air and exactly what I needed.
Thank you Lord. You always provide.
God Bless
