“I have been praying for God to send a team for a long time.
God has answered my prayers. And now I will continue to pray!”

What if the Lord told you that there will be 20-30,000
people worshiping His name? What if the Lord said that a place where there is
maybe a handful of Christians that 20-30,000 people will worship His name? What
if the Lord asked you to bring 20-30,000 people to Him?

I’m currently living with a man that has received those very
visions! Scary, huh?! Well for Wee Lapong it’s a vision, a call, a mission
statement, a lifestyle, a destiny.

In 3 short years Wee Lapong has seen a community of a
handful of believers turn to a community with churches, Christian clubs, and a
spirit filled nation! He mentioned that he is still far from 20-30,000 but many
closer than when he first started taking this call seriously 3 years ago.

Wee Lapong is a 35 year old born again child of God. He has
more energy than a 10 year old on a sugar high. His heart is for the young Thai
people of the rural mountain villages far from the beaten paths. He has a heart
to follow the Lord in all he does.

How does he do it??

Sports, that’s it! Sports. He draws in the youth and they
come. This man of God travels everyday to different schools to lead worship at
Christian clubs, be visits dormitories to teach soccer, he coaches a few
different soccer teams, and he organizes many sorts of tournaments every year.
Wee Lapong has an anointing on his life and he is in this thing for all that it
is. God has anointed him with the gift of soccer!

Wee Lapong doesn’t have a job, he serves. He always has
money for food (even though very little some months), he has a place to call
his home, and he has clothes on his back. Everyday I have spent here living
with him and his family, I have yet to see him without a smile on his face. He
has such a free spirit of peace. He knows God!

So this week it has been an amazing experience to go with
Wee Lapong to visit schools, play lots of soccer, and just get to know him. I
thank the Lord for an opportunity to meet another man of God laboring for the
Gospel. Not a day goes by where he doesn’t travel out to just meet and be with
people. Through the sport of soccer he draws in the youth. They come and he
builds the relationship foundations to eventually share. Sometimes he just goes
to schools and preaches the Gospel to the masses. His life and story have
changed many lives. These kids he’s serving see something different about him.
This is how he gets to share about Jesus! And Jesus is here. Jesus is here in
another far corner of this world.

This is what it means to live by faith. Wee Lapong organizes
many tournaments every year and has no money. Yet the Lord always provides for
Wee Lapong’s ministry. There’s always balls, uniforms, food, and a field to
play on. He goes out everyday to the many villages and just plays soccer.
That’s it!

He’s one soccer player you’ll never see on t.v. yet changing a
nation!!
