So here we are, April 15th is just around the corner and it’s truly the most wonderful time of year! In the vast country of Canadia all eyes will be fixed on the tube for the following 60 or so days. From coast to coast, and north to south, no matter where you visit, you’ll be sure to find this festive season in full swing! As an underdog in the fight for the greatest sport’s Holy Grail, Canada has a 1 in 8 chance of claiming that prize. Doesn’t matter which town, city, or farming community you live in, you’ll find yourself immersed in the action of the fastest game on earth.
Folks, it’s NHL playoff time!! The time of year when anything can happen. From upsets, to domination. Where the greatest clubs fall and the unlikely rise up! From heart break to triumph, emotions will fly! This time brings farewells and kickstarts to carreers. Anythng can happen!
This second season of sorts isn’t about the percentages or the 82 games that were. It’s about having the highest number on the final scoresheet and doing it 4 times first. There are no excuses, only perserverance. A time of true advesity and determination. The best team prevails and I emphasize TEAM.
Alot will happen in the next 60 days. So brace yourself Canada for the world’s greatest show on ice. Hopefully one of our faithful will hold Lord Stanley’s Cup up high. But don’t be discouraged if an American franchise wins, statistics show that 60% of those teams consist of Canadian players!
