I wrote one blog in Kenya… one blog. I don’t know why. As most of you know it was a month that changed my life. This one blog wasn’t deep, in fact the point of it was to thank my supporters because I had been fully funded for the trip.
However, this blog eventually confirmed the biggest commitment and life decision I’ve ever made.
One year ago I boldly… or flippantly wrote these words “God is calling me (to Kenya) loud and clear. I want to move back hopefully by May of 2011 with a long term team if this really is what God continues to show me in my heart.”
I’m not sure where I pulled May 2011 from… apparently my heart heard the Lord speaking but it never registered with my mind.
Two weeks ago I started praying about The Kenya Initiative. The facts I knew were simply a team of five moving to Kenya for two years… that was all. I prayed, and was led back to this blog. I saw my bold or flippant statement and asked what the planned departure date was for the team… “May 2011” I was told…
The team is now six instead of five.
