We all dream. Whether it’s seeing a starving child and giving money in hope of a warm meal or looking at flour, butter, eggs, and seeing this delicious cake. We are seeing what is and envisioning what it should be.
Not too long ago I was dreaming of a big house, nice truck, and vacations on long sandy beaches overlooking blue waters. I had a taste for expensive dinners. My dreams were much like these expensive dinners seemingly attractive but less than fulfilling. They offered temporary satisfaction, and then I was hungry again.
I needed change.
I was in search for a bigger dream or a smaller stomach to be filled. I began my search for fulfillment, a bigger dream. I think we have created a big problem. Many of us give up our dreams or turn to what I call “dreamer’s gastric bypass surgery”.
I recently googled statistics of people that follow their dreams. No relevant articles came up. Instead, links like HIV/AIDS in Africa, Poverty in India, and Homelessness in America were among the top 5 links. I couldn’t help but just relate this to the answer I was looking for.
These are the dreams that didn’t happen.
God put a dreamer’s spirit in you. He gave you ideas and visions for a reason. He gave them to you to run with them. To be His hands and feet.
Adventures in Missions just launched a new program. It’s free. Just check it out. The goal? To make the connections to see your dreams happen.
