Dear Friends and Family,
I am writing this to challenge you today. I am challenging you to live out the Gospel so that I might share it with the world. I want to share a story with you from the Race…

This is the story of my month here in Malawi. It has been my favorite month by far. That is because I have been working with an amazing ministry called Harvesters International. Their mission is to plant churches that plant churches. While working with this ministry my team and I go out into villages and share the Gospel with people. On a regular basis I feel like I am living like Paul–going into a first-century village somewhere in Asia-minor standing in the village square, singing a few Psalms, giving a speech about my good friend Jesus and seeing thousands of lives changed.

The only difference is that I am a 21st century missionary, going to villages in Africa, singing songs in a language I don’t know, then giving a sermon to up to 100 villagers at a time, when given the opportunity, praying with them for salvation, and seeing nearly every hand raised. After the prayer we split the group into men, women and children and begin to pray for their personal needs, most of these needs have been for healing and we have seen much fruit from these prayers. Finally, after all this is done we pack up, walk for fifteen minutes and see the same thing happen again. Then on Sundays we get to help a local pastor plant a church to help cultivate these new relationships with Christ we have planted throughout the week.

This is one role that I have been able to play in the lives of people I come in contact with every single day. My team and I get to be the hands and feet on the ground helping change lives forever. However I will not be able to continue this mission unless I can raise the remaining balance of my funding by January 1st.

Now Brothers and Sisters, I ask you to give freely so that I may continue the Lord’s work here in the field. As of right now I still need to raise $3,555.35 by January 1st. I have been noticing the trend that there are about 200 people on average that view my blogs. That means that if each of you can give $17.78 to help me continue on this journey, you would not only be helping me, but you would be helping all those I will come in contact with over the next 5 months, as well as storing up treasures in heaven.

So this is my simple request: will everyone who views this blog donate $17.78. It's only 10 packs of gum or 4 cups of coffee or 2 movie tickets. If you can sacrifice just one of these luxuries to help impact the Kingdom, who knows what could happen, maybe together we can change the world?
The journey is only half done and I don’t want it to be over. So, again I ask for $17.78. Of course you can donate more, but if you can donate a minimum of $17.78, it would be a huge blessing not only to myself, but to the Kingdom! by clicking on the donate tab on the right of this screen? By clicking on the "Donate!" tab on the left side of the screen, you can help me see this mission to the end!

I just want to leave you all with this passage of scripture from, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!
A humble servant of Christ,
Matthew Murray
