Ephesians 4:14-15
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”

Is there a better passage of scripture for today’s Christians, especially young people, who are being ruthlessly attacked and portrayed as unloving and unaccepting. Culture is telling us one thing, and God is telling us something different. I was born in the 90’s and it’s now 2017, and one thing I have learned in my 22 years is that things will go out of style quickly. Whether it’s the Spice Girls, Aaron Carter or the Rugrats, every new fad will run its course and quickly fade into the background. It’s just the way the world is, and no one is above this. Unfortunately, many are buying the half-truths that our culture is selling. So what happens when we build our foundation and our core moral beliefs on these things? Well, eventually all of those things will fade away and we will be left with nothing. But the word of God, it remains. That’s why, we as Christians should be proclaiming the name of Jesus louder than ever. It is a critical time. The time is now to be an “inconvenience” and to ask about your sphere of influence and find out the fate of those souls. The time is now for Christians to stand their ground, and not just defend what we have and be complacent, but to take back ground for the Kingdom. Now is not the time to sit on your hands and wait for someone to do what God is calling you to do. Now is the time to speak TRUTH in LOVE. God is a gentleman, and He would never force us to do anything. He simply gives us the option, “Me or the world”? What will you choose? If I give my life to the Lord and I am wrong, I will have made a difference, I will have clothed the naked, and I will have fed the hungry. I will still have left my philanthropic mark on this earth. But what happens if you’re wrong? You may have gained the world, but you have lost eternity. The words I just wrote, I have heard before essentially saying, “I’ll give up this life so I can have eternity.” But is that really true? Because, sure there WILL be some hard times coming your way as a Christian, but the rewards aren’t limited to heaven. Accept Christ, and you can start to see the fruit immediately. A peace that surpasses all understanding. A love from the Father that words can’t accurately describe. The time is now. Make your stand. Stand on the truth and stand in love.
