In the Henan Province of China, a lion roars from inside a cage.  From 10 feet away you can feel the thump as the King of the Beasts bellows.  This animal is supreme.  He is nothing short of Majestic. After all he walks around with his friends and they are called a pride. He rules wherever he is…however today he is in a 12×12 box with bars.  So he isn’t doing anything…

In Gaansbai, South Africa a great white shark slams into the cage as it races towards the bait that has been taken away at the last second.  With its mouth gaping and teeth exposed I am paralyzed by fear, and the speed at which this creature moves.  My hands shake a bit as I realize what had just happened.   The shark circles the cage and I am in awe of its size and power.  He is nothing short of Majestic.

When the Majestic is in the cage, we feel safe.   When the Majestic is in the cage, we have room for all of our stuff, because what is scary is safely behind bars.  We can look at it, even admire it from our safe perch.

When the Majestic is out of the cage, anything can happen.  Its unpredictable.  Possibilities are unlimited.  But for the Majestic to be free from the cage requires us to enter the cage.  And there is very little room for all of our “things.”
