Well folks, the ten men of Gap G and myself have been in Mokhotlong, Lesotho since this past Saturday. We are partnering with Harvesters Bible Church, which is such an incredible and loving ministry. Let me cut to the chase, because I cannot contain my joy, awe, and amazement, due to what happened earlier this morning.

After two teammates and I finished ministering at the local hospital, we met up with the rest of the dudes at the local prison. After we waited for a minute or two, we made our way into the courtyard of the prison. Most of the incarcerated men were guilty of livestock theft, which in Lesotho gets you fifteen years behind bars. After introducing ourselves, my teammates Max and Ross, shared their testimonies of how Christ changed their lives. Next Jack, another teammate, preached a sermon from 2nd Corinthians 4, about our treasure in jars of clay (check out the passage it’s incredibly beautiful). This whole time I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, something was very special about this visit to the prison.

Oliver, an incredible man of God and pastor we partner with, got up from his seat and proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ. He explained the unconditional love of Jesus, and that God sent his only begotten Son for the forgiveness of sins and the hope of eternal life through Christ Jesus. Oliver talked about how being in prison doesn’t make them anymore sinful than we are, and that Jesus doesn’t count our trespasses against us when we believe and follow him. Next thing I know 13 of the inmates walk down from where they were sitting and profess their faith in Jesus and accept Him as Lord and savior of their lives. We prayed for these believers with Pastor Oliver and our interpreter. After we prayed I felt the Holy Spirit’s conviction to say something to the guys who has just came from death to life. I quoted Luke 15:10 when Jesus is talking about when a sinner comes to repentance. I explained to the guys that God’s angels are rejoicing and there is a party in heaven because they have given their lives to Jesus. I encouraged them to deny themselves daily, and surrender to Jesus every single day.

I am still in complete awe of God’s greatness and the power of the Holy Spirit. I will never forget this day as long a I live, because it was the day where we saw 13 sons of God come home and put their trust in the grace, mercy, and goodness of Christ Jesus. Wow, the Lord is mighty and powerful in His ways.

-Pray for these new Christ followers, that they would surrender to the will of the Lord every day of their lives.

-Pray that they would cling to the grace and forgiveness of Jesus and that they would keep the faith.

-Pray that the Lord would use these men to glorify His name with their newfound hope in Jesus.

All the glory, honor, blessing, and praise to Christ Jesus our mighty Lord and King.

“I tell you, in the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” -Luke 15:10
