Halfway Point For Guatemala!!!
It is unreal to think that my team is halfway through our time in Guatemala. It has been so cool to watch our ministry grow over the last month and a half. Building friendships with the kids in the communities we work with has been so great.
This past Thursday my team got the opportunity to visit a new town. The town’s name is Soledad (Loneliness in english). After parking the car we met a family who invited us in to their home to sit and talk. After introductions and small talk they asked if we could pray for healing as several of the adults in the group had pain/physical issues. We prayed and God did what He does and He healed them! In total 7 people received healing from things like arthritis, nerve damage, joint issues, etc.
Watching God work in this way in this family was awesome, and it was a great reminder for me that God is still in the business of doing big things. I think it is easy to put God in the box of morning devotions and evening prayers, but in reality God longs to be present in every aspect of our lives, and he is just waiting for us to show up with a little faith and watch him work! Personally I was also reminded that while God can do amazing things on his own He asks us to partner with him. While we were in the house I mentioned earlier, God actually revealed to me that one lady who didnt ask for prayer actually had a leg issue. I almost disregarded it because it felt uncomfortable to approach her and ask, but instead I stepped out in faith and she did indeed have leg issues. We were able to pray for her and God healed her legs. I think it is so cool that we have a God who invites us to partner with Him even when it isn’t comfortable. Thanks so much for being faithful in prayer and supporting me; I’ll keep being faithful to serve, love, and lead as he calls us in Guatemala. God bless!
