I hope you are all staying healthy and happy amidst this craziness!
COVID-19 Updates:
Recently, Adventures in Missions brought back all of their missionaries of all of their programs (World Race, 11n11, Gap Year, Semesters, Ambassadors, etc). While this was unexpected, it was done due to the closing of boarders and out of concern not only for the participants health, but for those that they are interacting with as well. I am proud to be apart of an organization that keeps all of those involved safe and protects every individual.
In regards to my trip:
I am still going! Just a little later…
While things are constantly evolving during this pandemic and nothing can be set in stone, AIM feels very confident that slightly delaying our trip will exponentially increase the chances of my gap year launching.
Originally, I was supposed to go for a two week training in July to prepare for my gap year and then return home. Then at the end of August I would go back to Georgia for a little more training and head to Romania!
Now, I will be going to Georgia in the beginning of September for my training and will leave for Romania immediately after.
Fundraising Updates:
Thank you all so much for your continued support! I seriously cannot say it enough. I feel so encouraged by the ways so many people have partnered with me and I am just so grateful!
I am currently on track to hit $12,500 by the end of the month. This is crazy!! Thank you guys!! I am only $3,300 away from my total fundraising goal.
As many of you know, I was selling shirts to fund raise. They are here! Unfortunately due to COVID-19 getting them out to you all has posed to be a bit of a challenge but I am hoping to find a way to send them out to you all. Thank you for your patience 🙂
Lastly, my personal goal is to be completely done fundraising my May 1. This is going to be challenging but I am confident that we can do it together! Please consider sharing my blog with everyone and anyone you know, talking about my trip with your friends, or sending me people’s contact information that you think would be interested in hearing more about my mission trip. And just another huge thank you for continuing your support of my mission trip!
