Hey blog! I’ve officially started the World Race! I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me because I couldn’t be here without you! I am so so grateful! I am living in my tent with all my squadmates and learning a lot! A lot of you have been asking what my days look like so I thought I would break it down a little! While no day is exactly the same here, here is the most typical:

6:15 am : wake up and run (typically)

7:00 am: Shower (if I have a morning shower) and get ready for the day! Side note: bucket showers are actually pretty refreshing (besides the snakes).

7:45 am: temperature checks to make sure we are all healthy and safe!

8:00 am: Breakfast! We eat things such as yogurt, bagels, eggs, sausage etc.

9:00 am:  Devotional Time where we spend time with God for about an hour every morning!

10:00 am: Session! Session is a time where speakers come and teach about different passages and topics in the Bible! We’ve been learning about surrender, forgiveness, fundraising, how to study the Bible, and so many things! It is always so fruitful and teaches so much!

12:30 pm: Lunch!

1:30: Rotations! This time changes every day but some of our rotations are exercise with the Squad, cleaning around base, showers, laundry, and Squadtime.

5:30: Dinner!

6:30: Team Time! Within my 30 ish person squad, I am on a team of  6 girls (we are team Mesa, I will do a blog on them later!) who I will be doing ministry with! Team time is different every day but we do things such as The Bible Project, Gratitude day, Feedback, watercolors, etc.

7:30: free time!

9:45: quiet hours/bedtime

Our days are pretty full but I love every minute of them! On Saturdays and Sundays we practice the Sabbath which are just days of intentional rest with the Lord. Sabbath is seriously the best thing ever and I will be doing a blog on it soon! But those days we have nothing planned other than meals and it’s a great time to process the week and prepare for the week ahead! We also got very exciting news that we will be partnering with Samaritans Purse to do disaster relief in Louisiana! I am very excited to start practicing and pouring out all that I am learning! Please keep praying for my squad and the other squads health, that we would continue to grow, and for the people in Louisiana that we will be ministering to in October!

Thank you all again for supporting me! Please reach out if you have any questions!

Mary
