What am I doing in Romania?

We’ve been living at a church in Pitesti (pi-tesh).

Talk about a church community.

Wow.

They have been nothing short of amazing.

Many of them are around our young adult age, so it’s been great to do ministry with our new friends.

We do prayer and worship some mornings.

We do prayer walks some mornings.

We’ve been visiting a church member that’s been in the hospital.

Man, there’s so many random things that we do, it’ll be hard to write all of them.

I’ll just skip to my favorite.

In the afternoons, half of us are doing manual labor. The other half goes into a really poor/rough neighborhood in Pitesti, and hold an English class, Tuesday through Friday.

Guess which one I’m doing?

You betcha.

I’m part of a team teaching English.

I LOVE IT!

I mean, it can be difficult, because they are a rowdy bunch, and I obviously don’t speak Romanian. However, there is a teacher look, sound, and body language that transcends this language barrier.

If you’ve ever had a job with children, you know what I’m talking about.

So yeah, other than that, we’ve been just hanging out a lot with our new Romanian friends.

Just like always, leaving next week will break my heart.

P.S. We’re going to Moldova next month. Ask me what I know about Moldova… “What do you know about Moldova?” Not a dang thing! Woo, I’m excited!
