Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
As you know, I have been on The World Race since July 2012. If this is the first you’ve heard of it, I encourage read the rest of my blogs to see what’s been going on. I am going to 11 countries in 11 months to meet, serve, and love my brothers and sisters in Christ around the world. I am now in month 5 in Moldova, in Eastern Europe, and I love every minute of it.
How do I describe my life the past 4 months? The World Race is community. It is doing life together. It is learning and growing together. It is calling greatness out of your brother and sister. It is love. It is bold. It is passion. It is hard. It is messy. It is precious. It is beautiful. It is life. The people that I have had the honor to serve with have loved me hard and intentionally. They see the Christ in me, and encourage me forward. They call me into the person the Lord created me to be, and I’ve been learning to do the same for them. The World Race has encouraged me to show up to my life every day.
There have been many precious moments on this race; I’ll give you some highlights. In Honduras, I sat with a 7-year-old boy, on top of a hill, in the most dangerous, and poorest neighborhood in Tegucigalpa, at sunset, as he sang a Spanish lullaby to me, and we pretended to fall asleep. In Guatemala I looked in the eyes of a 19-year-old girl with serious brain damage, and saw first a beloved princess of the Most High King. In Nicaragua, I saw the Lord speak through a 16-year-old boy with such intensity, passion, and maturity that I’ve rarely seen in people 3 times his age. In Romania, the Lord revealed my righteous anger for the gypsy children being robbed of their innocence. The Lord is seriously rocking my socks off!
Amen to who I was, but my life has been radically changed with only 5 months on the field, for the better. I know there is so much more for me through the rest of these 6 months. My final financial deadline to stay on the field is quickly approaching. The Lord’s provision through your hearts has provided $11,700 to get me this far. I need $3,800 in my World Race account by January 1st, 2013 to finish the race He has set before me. Please pray about helping me reach my final deadline.
