My sweet friends and family,
I am so excited to give you this update and share with you what the Lord has been teaching me, and why I’m going back to Nepal. This past summer I went to Nepal for three weeks with Adventures in Missions. Going there, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the Lord exceeded my expectations. He showed me the needs the of global church, and how deep His love is for every nation. In Nepal, we did ministry in the slums of Kathmandu sharing Bible stories, and tried to be the hands and feet of Jesus by spending quality time with the children, and hearing their stories of what they love.
One of biggest things that I learned was how to rest and listen to the Lord’s voice. Our team partnered with Agape Missions, and they believed that through resting in the Lord, we would be strengthened to better carry out His work. Everyday we spent an hour reading Scripture, journaling, and praying. It was one of the most impactful ways the Lord spoke to me in those three weeks. Finding rest in the Father was my strength, and every other part of ministry overflowed from the space of simply being with the Lord. I loved learning and experiencing a deeper love for the kingdom of God and His heart for the nations.
I’m going back to Nepal and partnering with the same ministry next summer, and I would love for you to partner with me in sharing the Gospel, and to be in prayer for the nation of Nepal.
Ways you can pray:
1) For the unreached people groups of Nepal who have yet to hear about Jesus
2) For the body of Christ in Nepal, that they may be strengthened to continue God’s work
3) For my team and me who will be going to Nepal, for the Lord to prepare our hearts
4) For fundraising opportunities for me to reach my goals
