Community looks like sharing one shower and one toilet.
Community looks like hunting down a cricket chirping in our room with a headlamp and a Chaco.
Community looks like eating tostadas and honey in bed to fulfill what seems like a never ending sugar hankering.
Community looks like carrying 20 pound bags of food up a mountain to give to families in our ministry village who don’t have the means to get food.
Community looks like holding each other upright on a chicken bus so crowded you can’t even get both feet on the floor.
Community looks like taking turns cutting a hole in the roof to install a stove pipe, using only a knife and a hammer.
Community looks like checking each other’s heads daily for lice.
Community looks like praying with each other for healing, and hearing each other’s stories of heartache and redemption.
Community looks like interceding for one another in prayer, and caring deeply for each other’s hearts and wellbeing.
Community looks like bearing each other’s loads, and having a safe space for the beauty of vulnerability.
