A question that has been asked many times: Why go to different countries to share the Gospel when the people in the US need Jesus too?

One might argue that people in other countries need the Gospel more because they don’t have access to churches and the Bible like we do or because people in the US have heard the gospel where as people in other countries have not. I would argue that no one needs it more than anyone else and no one needs it less. Heck, there are people here in the US who have never heard the Gospel or even owned a Bible!

But, then the question arises “Well, Marybeth, if there are people here in the US who have never heard the Gospel, why don’t you stay here and reach those people instead of going to another country?”

There are so many ways I could answer this question. I wish I could give an eloquent answer, but my reason for going on the World Race and going to different countries to minister to others and share the Gospel is simple:

I have been called to GO and I am simply obeying that call, trusting that God will use me in any way He sees fit.

Mark 16:15 says “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

We are called to go into ALL the world and sometimes that means physically pack a bag and go somewhere far away

                                           OR

stay home and share the Gospel with those immediately around you (family, neighbors, coworkers).
