Dear Family and Friends,

In May 2015, I will be graduating from Presbyterian College with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. The big question every college graduate or soon-to-be-college graduate gets is “What’s next?”

If you had asked me this question a few years ago, I would have answered by telling you my plan: attend graduate school and get my Masters degree in Counseling. Yet, as I have learned these past four years, God sometimes has totally different plans than we have for ourselves. As Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps” (NIV).

Like many college seniors, this semester, I have spent an increasing amount of time thinking about what after life college will look like for me. After a lot of prayer and “Marybeth-Jesus” time, I felt God calling me to something greater than the plans I had for myself; something that will draw me completely out of my comfort zone while challenging me and strengthening my relationship with Him. In September 2015, I will leave for the World Race.

The World Race is an eleven-month Christian mission trip to eleven countries around the world. I will be going to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.

Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in September 2015, I need to raise $16,257.00. This money will cover all of my field expenses for the eleven months of the trip. This amount is daunting, but I am trusting that God will provide. He has called me to go and I am obeying His call.

I have enclosed a response card, inviting you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures in Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. In Christ,

Marybeth Roberson
