A BUNCH OF SKYDIVERS

So…some of us here are getting into the last month or so of being at G42.  We’re getting on that plane.  I can feel this shift in the air.  I am surrounded by amazing women and men of God.  This shift is turning us, positioning us, locking us in the rocket launcher to get ready for the TAKE OFF.  We seem to be changing even more intensely in these last few weeks.  Slowly we are all finding out our next step after here.  One person is going to Burma, another Brooklyn, the Ukraine, someone else is meeting with Heidi Baker.  God is preparing us for LAUNCH.  I have an image of us as a bunch of skydivers.  We are in the airplane.  And one by one we jump out.  It’s one person’s time up at the door of the airplane and we’re all right there behind them watching and then BAM, they JUMP!  YOU CAN DO IT!  We’re still sitting there like oh, goodness here we go, it’s going to be my turn soon!  And then the next person goes out.  It’s awesome.  I will have news to share about what I want to do next soon (pray for clarity!).

 

LOVE YOURSELF–WHAT?

We made the video yesterday about sex trafficking.  Can’t wait to share it with you.  I learned so much through this process.  That I was made to be creative.  We all have creativity inside.  That it is okay to love doing something and to be good at it and not feel bad about that.  I’m realizing more and more how I had this mindset of shame associated with loving something and actually being good at something.  I believe sometimes the Christian world teaches this false humility thing.  I don’t want to apologize anymore for who I am, who He’s made me to be!  It’s okay to love ourselves, love who we are.  What?!  Amen.  We think we can’t ever say I’m good at that.  But, what we are actually good at is for the world to know to make a difference, so we need to own it!  They ask us in class sometimes, what are you good at, what do you bring.  It was really hard to answer that at first because I’m not used to thinking that way.  But, He gives us things to be good at to come alive and to bless others.  I want to ADD to this world.  And that’s is a good thing.  Don’t be afraid to see your gifts, to appreciate them, to value yourself.  HA!  It’s great news.

 

LIFT  YOUR VOICE FOR THEM

Just being God’s messenger with this video is amazing.  I love partnering with Him creatively and coming alive in an area in my life!  Standing up for something and deciding to tell the world about it.  I pictured women in prison unable to lift their voices, so I lifted mine for them.  We all lifted our voices yesterday on behalf of trafficked victims.  We lifted up a shout that echoed across this world.  It sent sound waves into those prisons and shook the doors.  We won’t remain silent.  THIS INJUSTICE IS NOT RIGHT.
