In continuing with 127 Hours theme…he says that the rock which at first crushed his hand and pinned him, he winds up standing on when he returns to the scene a while later after healing. That is a good picture of the ways the enemy has ruled our lives, that we will wind up with it beneath our feet, standing on it. Know there will be a day when what once had an authority over you, you will now have the authority over it. When God sets people free in areas, they can now have the authority in that area.
Even with all he went through and cutting his arm off, he says he would have done it all over again. Because that time and what he learned, experienced and how he changed because of it was worth cutting his own arm off. Wow. We sometimes go through something extremely difficult, but because of what we experience with God or the result that comes, it is worth it. He also says, as he cuts his arm off, that he was being born again in this life. He was coming alive for the second time since his actual birth. Sometimes there’s a moment (or many) where you, the real you, is being born in a new way because of what you went through and learned.
