Now that kid’s camp is over we have some time until our next debrief. So Agapetos has decided to go on a road trip. We rented a car and left on Sunday, July 15th. Our first stop was Durban where we met with a contact Mallorie had for us. We worked with a lady named Pat. On Monday we got to see the beach in Durban. It is so beautiful. On Tuesday we went with Pat to her various ministries. First we went to a primary school and led the short morning assembly. We then led the fourth grade class in a Bible story. We then went to a Go Go’s ministry where we led a Bible study and helped with a soup kitchen.

On Wednesday we left for Gordon’s Bay. On our way we made a detour to a nature reserve. There we saw baboons, wildebeests and zebras. The coast there was absolutely amazing. On Thursday we left and made it to East London where we decided to stay for the night. We happened upon the Baptist church and asked about a place to stay. They ended up opening their doors to us. There was a house next door to the church that they let us stay at for free. God is so good!

On Friday we left to make the rest of the journey to Gordon’s Bay which is near Cape Town. However we had to make one more vital stop. Michelle, Mallorie, Eric and I all went bungee jumping. The tallest bungee jump is located in South Africa between Jeffery’s Bay and Cape Town. What an experience that was. It was so exhilarating. We finally made it to Gordon’s Bay at midnight. We plan on leaving Monday or Tuesday to make the long haul back to Pretoria.

It has been great to see God’s hand in our trip thus far. He is totally at work and it is so much fun to see Him bless and provide for us. Please keep us in your prayers as we begin to make the journey back to Pretoria.
