What an amazing ride God has sent me on for this time in Mozambique. We spent most of our time in Morrumbala going on outreaches to refugee camps delivering food to those displaced by the recent floods and working at an orphanage. All of this was done with Iris Ministries. I had such an amazing time here in Mozambique. My faith was stretched and strengthened. I learned that God is in the little things as much as He is in the big things. I learned that sometimes all that is necessary to love a child is a hug and just to spend time with them. Knowing the language is not always needed. A hug, sitting on your lap or playing hand games is enough. These children are just desperate for love and I had the privilege of giving them just that. Those children now have a special place in my heart.

The outreaches were a real faith builder for me. At the end of every one we had a time of prayer for those who needed healing. My prayer life was also strengthened by praying for so many people who needed the Lord’s touch. I saw God in the little things, healing headaches, aches and pains. I also saw Him in the big things, taking away fevers and slowing down a woman’s heart beat that was beating too fast. I also learned that healing is about compassion, having the compassion for the people you are praying for. It is also about having the faith that God can and will heal that person. God is doing amazing things in Mozambique. Not only did we see healings, we saw hundreds of people come to know Him. They are hungry for food, but more importantly they are hungry for Jesus.

Now we are on our way to Swaziland for debrief and then a time of training with the June World Racers. Please pray that this time will be a time of refreshment and renewal for me. Thank you for all your prayers and support.
