Music, drama, the message, people coming to know the Lord. That is what we have been able to experience here in Palenque in the last two days. It had been on the heart of many team members to do some street evangelism in the town plaza. Well it finally happened Friday night and Saturday morning. God is so in control. Everything fell into place so easily. We got the permits quickly and with no frustration and we got a good deal on a sound system. Noe, the pastor of the church plant our team has been working with was eager to join us in this endeavor. He provided the music and message. He played a huge role in putting this all together. So here is how it all played out. Noe started the program with music, a great way to gather a crowd. Then we came in with the drama called Set Me Free and then Noe gave a great message on finding freedom and healing in the Lord. Then there was an alter call where several people came to know the Lord. This was a great learning experience for me. Street evangelism is very hard for me. I was put in the role as an intercessor. Prayer for long periods of time is very hard for me as well. However the Lord was totally blessing me during this time. His words just flowed out of me. I know that it was not me speaking, but the Spirit speaking through me. It was great to walk the perimeter of the plaza and claim it as God´s holy ground. It was then equally great to pray for the evangelizer I was partnered with. I got the privelage of being partnered with Mallorie. She did an awesome job of making some great connections with the people while I kept her covered in prayer. I know that seeds were planted and lives were changed. I am so glad I got the opportunity to be a part of this great minsitry. It just goes to show you what happens when God´s body works together. Here are some photos of the drama we put on.
