Since my last update, team WOW said farewell to Mukono and traveled to Jinja where we met our squad and spent two nights at the source of the Nile River
camping, bungee jumping & white water rafting!

The Nile!

Lindsay and I made a “condo/fort” with our tents. We lived in outdoor luxury complete with a “stuff room” and “sleeping room”

Goodbye Uganda …Hello Tanzania!
Span of travel time: 3 days
Countries traveled through: 3
Hours on the road: 50
Buses taken: 3
Buses breaking down: 1

After crossing boarders in Uganda and Kenya, we finally reached Tanzania. Our second night on the road our bus broke down due to missing bolts on the drive shaft…yikes. A restaurant we pit-stopped by earlier graciously let us crash on their floor, kindly housing 60 exhausted travelers for the night. As seasoned Racers, we wasted no time in throwing up our tents and making ourselves at home.

Gatta love life on the WR!

By midafternoon day three we arrived in Morogoro, Tanzania – our last African home.

Our team was met at the station by our contact Pastor Albinus, a humble and gracious man that immediately made us feel loved and welcomed.

With Pastor, our first week has been full of preaching, prayer meetings, and home visits.

We have one more day in Morogoro, and then we are off to the villages! For the next three weeks we will be living with the Massai Warriors and joining them in tribal life! We’ll be enjoying life without electricity, in tents, surrounded by wild animal, and in the middle of God’s incredible creation! I AM SO EXCITED!!! This will probably be my last blog for a while, but I can’t wait to send an update when we return!
