Finally have access to a computer with Internet, so here is the much delayed update of my first month of the race!
I already shared a bit in a previous post about Haiti and the ministry I was a part of. And I don´t honestly have that much more to say. In summary, it was a beautiful month of learning, growing, serving, and building relationships. Being astounded and captivated by the Lord´s marvelous handiwork in the scenery was also a daily occurrence.
We are now in La Paz, Bolivia, on our last full day of debrief. It´s been a good week of “rest” and processing and just walking with the Lord through some things. Tomorrow, we´ll be heading out to our ministry site where we´ll be working with a camp (I apologize, I don´t recall the name) and doing “grounds keeping” as our main ministry work. We´ll also be living in tents and cooking our own meals, so a definite change of pace from Haiti!
Please continue to pray for me, and I also thank everyone for the encouragement and prayers you´ve been sending my way. God has truly been using them to strengthen and uplift my spirit. So thank you!
And a giant thank you to everyone who has been giving in financial support of this journey. I am so blessed and astounded by your generosity and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am still $1,000 short of my next deadline which is at the end of this month, so in need of continued giving. If you have any heart for God´s kingdom and my part in His work, I joyfully invite you to invest as much as you are compelled to, financially and spiritually!
