Five fun facts (:
- I have a huge heart for orphans – adoption, orphan ministry, fostering. And I believe it is a big part of God’s call upon my life.
- I work as an assistant teacher at a Montessori Preschool in Gainvesille, VA. My time there has been one of joy, frustration, blessing, and discouragement. The negative is largely due to constant realizations of my great sinfulness. Basically, God has been using it as a major sanctification tool for me and my life.
- Family is God’s greatest gift and blessing to me. I have the best mom & pops, and the greatest younger sisters. We are dorky and quirky and just plain weird sometimes-a-lot, but I wouldn’t trade us. I receive much of the Father’s caring love, Christ’s sacrificial love, and the Holy Spirit’s convicting love through them. We are definitely an unfinished work, but one that is in progress, under God’s crafty hands.
- I am a verbal processor, and I love analogies. I love words – reading them, writing them, doodling them.
- God has blessed me with a moderate ability to sing – enough so that I can praise and worship without fear of tormenting the people next to me, but not enough for me to ever be able to make much of my singing. I love singing. I love listening to people sing. And my favorite moments of worship are when the voices of the Body rise and take over, and the instruments are truly just the background or maybe even silent.
