Being in Ghana hasn’t been the easiest for my squad.

Actually being in Africa hasn’t been the easiest.

It has nothing to do with the people, because they are truly wonderful…

Illnesses on the other hand have not been.

They have constantly tried to bring my squad down from the moment we stepped foot in Africa.

There have been times where doctor visits have left me completely dumbfounded. Since we are foreigners we get tested for malaria immediately, but if that test comes back negative they usually don’t do any other test.

The malaria test isn’t very accurate though, so we never know what the results are going to say. You will just be treated for your symptoms, and sent home with a bunch of medication.

But…

There are a few things that we do know for sure

  1. We are bringing God’s Kingdom to Earth.

My squad has stories on top of stories of God’s faithfulness, goodness and love for His people. He has used each of us as vessels to heal the sick, cast out demons and to bring life back into a dying body.

  1. Satan fears our squad.

I have been blessed with an extremely strong and determined squad. We have been breaking the chains off the captives and bringing God’s people back home. Satan despises this, while we rejoice.

  1. We are unwavering.

As a squad we have been thrown many challenges: death in the families, sicknesses and sketchy ministry host. During all these events we have pressed into God and each other leaving no part of God’s body behind. We are still 54 people strong!

Satan does not want us in West Africa because he knows that we are messing up his plans. We were the first squad in Cote d’Ivorie, second squad in Ghana, and second squad in Burkina Faso in 3 years. He knows that we are powerful and unshakeable. He doesn’t know how to stop us, so he is attacking us with illnesses. He hasn’t learned yet though that it doesn’t matter how many people are sick, we will always have at least two people ready to fight and whenever two are gathered so is the Holy Spirit.

So bring it on Satan! We are ready to keep kicking you to the curb where you belong
