Yes, you read that correctly the time has come to launch on this mind-blowing journey. Let me repeat that one more time.
0 DAYS!!!!
So what have I been doing these last few days you may ask? I have been in Atlanta, GA with my squad mates having more training on what to expect this year, what it might look like for us as individuals and as a squad.
During these last 3 days I got to room at the Holiday Inn with 3 genuine, caring, loving, selfless girls from my squad, who by the way are going to kill it in their ministry this month!
(Jessica, Liz, Me, and Ashley)
Day to day was a lot like training camp: sessions, worship, and team time. The last day of launch was by far my favorite part of launch. There is just something special when people who love the Lord with all their hearts singing worship with all they have not caring what they look like.
After worship, last years A Squad, our mentor, and our logistic coordinator prayed for strength, unity, boldness, growth, and encouragement over our squad for this year. The verse that comes to mind when I think about my squad is Isaiah 40:26 “Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.”
We are God’s army ready to fight for His kingdom and His glory throughout the nations. He has called each and every one of my squad mates by name to do this incredible journey. Not a single person is missing from this route this year. It’s encouraging knowing that he has placed us together for a reason, and I’m so honored to be able to do life with these people. I can’t wait to see what God does in and through them to grow the kingdom and themselves. To watch God shape and mold them into the man and women he created them to be.
