At ministry on Friday my team and I were walking around one of the villages in Sunyani, Africa inviting kids to our Saturday kid’s carnival. While we were out kids came running to us wanting to hold our hands, laugh and just talk with us. Kids surrounded me on all sides but one boy, John, pointed to another child further away and said…

John: “That’s the dirty boy.”

Me: “What do you mean?”

John: “That’s just what we call him because he is always dirty.”

Me: “ Well God and I still love him even though he is dirty.”

John: nods his head

What John didn’t notice is that we are all dirty, maybe not in the physical sense but most definitely spiritually dirty. No one has ever been free of being dirty besides Jesus himself. We have all sinned against God and will continue to sin against him.

We are imperfect people living in a fallen imperfect world.

Jesus is the only one to be washed clean from that dirt. His blood on the cross has made anyone who believes in him washed white as snow.

Yes, we will still struggle with our sins and get smudges of dirt from them, but once we repent and turn back to Him, He gets a wet cloth and wipes a way that sinful smudge making us clean once more.

Is there something you need to repent of?

Do you have a smudge that is keeping you from experiencing the Lord like you want to?

It’s time for you to stop fighting the Lord and give your life to him.

It’s time to let God speak to you because He wants to speak to His children.

Let Him into your life.

Let Him wash you clean.

I promise you won’t regret that choice.
