As
a squad we are learning how to live as a prophetic community. “But one who prophesies strengthens others,
encourages them, and comforts them. ( Cor. 14:3) Many Christians are
afraid of the word “prophecy and we need to break free of that. We are called
to live lives led by the Holy Spirit constantly, speaking truth and life over
all those we come in contact with and what better place to start than our own
community.
Wednesday
night, the three teams staying at Casa Shalom partook in a time of worship.
With Carrie, Miha, and Elana on the guitars, my main man Jonathan on the mandolin,
and Heather singing we started into a beautiful night of worship! We
encouraged, challenged, and spoke life over each person in the room, the Word
of God was spoken with authority, we interceded for our squad mates, for the
ministry were involved in and anything else God laid on our hearts! This is
what my desire for O squad is this year and my desire for all believers
everywhere! Because “one who speaks a
word of prophecy strengthens the entire church. (1 Cor 14:4b)
We
must be eager for gifts that strengthen the whole church! It is something we
are exercising, practicing, and walking out! It’s something that can only be
done in the power of the Holy Spirit and with boldness given by the Spirit! I
believe it brings a person into an abundant, fulfilled life. We just have to be
willing and open to what God has for us! We speak into each other because we
want to build up the body of Christ!
“Since you are so eager to have the special abilities the Spirit gives,
seek those that will strengthen the whole church.
