Malaysia is absolutely wonderful! It’s a huge mix of many
different cultures. There is Malay, Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Philippines
and many other countries. It’s beautiful seeing all these cultures together in
one place.

My team has been in the big city of Kuala Lumpur this month.
It’s an intriguing and awesome city! They have their very own twin towers and
they also have a Time Square.

This month has been a concoction of many different
ministries. Our contacts are a wonderful Chinese couple named Peter and Carol.
They were retired, living on the beach, and playing lots of golf when God
called them to be doing more with their lives. They now own two restaurants (we
live above one of them), which are not only restaurants but also places of
ministry. They use the restaurants to evangelize to their employees and
minister to the people that come in to eat.

Peter and Carol are also networked with many other ministries
around Kuala Lumpur and this is where our month of ministry mayhem begins.

We spent two and a half days in a village outside of KL
leading 7 different church services. We sang songs, played games, and did skits
for the kids then we shared testimonies and preached the word to the adults
(mostly women).

We’ve done prayer walks/intercession on streets filled with
brothels and Jewelry making with a women’s ministry called Redeeming Roses.

We’ve spoken at other church services in KL.

We’ve worked at both of Peter and Carol’s restaurants. Doing
such things as serving, cashier, handing out flyers, encouraging the staff, and
intercession for the restaurants.

We taught English and Sunday school to a most beautiful
group of Burmese Refugee children.

We shared our testimonies at a nearby college.

We’ve helped out with a weekly street feeding to the
homeless on Saturdays in which the volunteers serve the homeless people their
food. This is really cool to me because I think it really shows honor and love
to the people coming in for food.

All these things have been accompanied with random cultural
food outings with Peter and Carol, which have been amazing.

 As a team we’ve
also been really trying to dig into each other this month. We’re challenging,
encouraging and calling each other into more of who we are becoming in Christ.

All in all Malaysia has been absolutely wonderful and it’s
exciting to see what God is doing in this city.
