We are here in Budaka, Uganda this month working with Pastor
Laurie and Pastor Rodgers of Cornerstone Ministries Uganda. They are incredible
to work with and this ministry is truly striving to glorify God in all it does.
Right now Cornerstone is a church and an orphanage. They exist to serve the
people of Uganda by caring for orphans, helping people make connections with
God, educating children and providing community classes for children and adults
to improve their lives.There are 24 orphans at the orphanage right now. To learn more about this ministry you can visit their website at Cornerstone Ministries Uganda
The first week consisted mostly of getting to know the
children. Kirsten taught a couple of art classes to the children, we led them
in games and just loved on them and got to know them. The kids are so
wonderful. We have absolutely fallen in love with them. To see all the children

This past week we held crusades in Budaka and three
surrounding villages. The crusade was led by Cornerstone but we partnered with
churches in the surrounding villages. We went out in small groups in the
morning to do hut to hut ministry just sharing the gospel with people and
sharing how He has changed our lives. Many people came to know Christ just from
the hut to hut visits! The trinity joins together to change many lives. In the
afternoons we held the actual crusades. There were gospel artists, testimonies
shared, and a preaching of the word every night! In total about 300 came to
know Christ over the course of the week. At the end of each night the leading
preacher would invite anyone who wanted to know Christ or receive healing to
the front. We saw the presence of the Lord show up in ridiculous ways! We saw a
witch doctor, which previously everyone in the village was afraid of for the
evil that she held, come to know Christ! Praise God! Also, during the call for
healing one night a Muslim man was healed instantly of his chronic back pain
and because of this he came to know the Lord! It’s been such an exciting week
of watching the Lord work!
We love it here in Budaka! The Lord is surely at work here!
Our contacts not only allow us to serve the town and ministry in wonderful ways
but they also take the time to pour into us as well! It is such a blessing to
be here working with Cornerstone Ministries!

I would like to ask
you all to be in prayer for two of my teammates, Anna Matthews and Liliana Mejia. They are in danger of be sent home at the end of the month. They need
$11,000 in their support accounts by October 31st. Right now they
are at about $9,000. They each need $2000 by the end of the month to continue
the race! If God has blessed you financially please pray about giving to them,
otherwise please be in prayer that God would provide for them! Thank you so
much! I can’t imagine finishing the race without them!
