If for no one else, this blog is to encourage myself. With training camp in a month and our launch in two months, preparations for the World Race are in full swing! This brings on more excitement but also more anxiety, worry, fear, attacks and today I BANISH ALL these things in the mighty name of Jesus!

Lately, I have been so focused on how much money I have left to raise or what gear I have left to buy than on Jesus and the reason I am going on the World Race. So I am laying aside my worries, proclaiming and declaring that God will provide ALL I need to leave this country in June for 11 months. My focus must be Jesus Christ, to BE the Kingdom of God! Not to do more or go more but to BE more!

To BE in His presence more, to BE the adopted daughter of the King that I am, to live in my true identity as someone who has been saved from the pits of hell by JESUS CHRIST!

And now it’s time for me to refocus on why I’m going on the World Race…

I’m going on the World Race because when I spent nine months in Africa amongst amazing teachers, teammates, and African friends I was wrecked by Christ and forever changed. I now cannot just sit back and watch the orphans die, I can’t forget about the 27 million slaves in OUR world today, the 8 year old that was raped last night and the HIV/AIDS victims who think they have no hope, they need to know that there IS HOPE!

“Lord, you know the hopes of the hopeless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them.” -Psalm 10:17-18-

I’m going because I desire and it is vital to my spiritual life that I walk through life with people who have the same heartbeat as I, who encourage me, challenge me, and call me out! We are meant to do life together and lean on each other!

“Share each others burdens and in this way obey the law of Christ.” -Gal. 6:2-

I’m going because my mind is small and I do not have the mind of Christ as I should and desire to have. I want and more importantly I need to learn of new cultures, not to try to change them but to embrace them, to love them and to be one with them, that Christ may shine ever more brightly!

When I am with those who are weak, I share in their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.” – 1 Cor. 9:22-23-

I’m going on the World Race because I need more of God’s power in my life. As my friend Melissa would say, “there is SO much of His power that we have not tapped into yet.” His power is attainable everywhere if we seek it out, but the World Race brings incredible opportunities for seeking out and experiencing more of God’s power!

“For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.”
– 1 Cor. 4:20

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” – Matthew 10:8

Your prayers are greatly needed as I prepare to leave for the World Race. Also, please pray as God continues to provide the rest of my financial support. I seek and know that it is His heart that I not just raise the money but find people who feel led to partner with me in this ministry. There would be no World Race if only the participants were involved. The World Race and AIM is a massive network of believers coming together for one common goal: Jesus Christ! Thanks to those of you who have felt led to partner with me in this! You are just as much a part of the World Race as I! I am in need of about $6,000 more. I’m excited to see how God provides! I would love to find 20 more people to support me at $25 a month for a year. If this is you, please contact me!
