1. Freedom Through Confession

The last few days have been completely focused on squad unity. This is something new the World Race is doing to bring squads closer at the beginning and prep them in country, not just in DC at launch. I, personally, think it is great and has done a lot to create a close community within our squad.
Several times since Saturday we have taken time as a squad to sing and share about our “sins in the camp” and our lives. People started getting up and sharing about their struggles and from the deep places in their souls. After each person spoke we would lay hands on them and pray. It was all about freedom. Freedom from our sins and the past, freedom to live completely for Christ, and freedom to be open and share our lives with each other. The Holy Spirit was moving in amazing ways.
Some other points I remember from those squad times are this:
–         We need to break our alabaster box like Martha at the feet of Jesus
–         Our sins are cast into the sea – there is a no fishing sign!
–         Free people can free people
–         Jesus, your name is power, breath, breath and living water
–         Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love. Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it, seal it for they courts above.
[As I am writing this, my teammate Liz, has come and sat down beside me and started playing her guitar and singing that song! She said that God prompted her to come sit beside me and sing it! God works in amazing ways. Amen.]
