If I hear 2% around my home, I’m probably going to assume someone is talking about milk (though I prefer 1% milk). But not today.
Today I am singing and praising for 2%.
2% of what, you ask? And why would I be praising just 2%?
Because it is praiseworthy. Because I am now 2% funded for what I must have financially to go on the World Race. Because 2% is twice as much as the 1% I had before. Because 2% is a bundle of blessings.
How is 2% a bundle of blessings, you ask? Let me tell you:
2% is the number I am at now since I have gotten my first three donations!!!
When I see that someone has donated to my support account, I get very excited. You may be thinking, “Well duh! Of course you get excited, you are getting money into your account that wasn’t there before!” Well, yes this is certainly a part of the excitement, but equally or even more so, I am excited for what the donation says. It says that the giver believes in what I am doing. It says that the giver wants to help me live out my calling from God Almighty. It says that the giver has faith that I will be a good steward of their hard-earned money by obediently going where God says go and serving where He says serve. It also shows love. Love for God, love for me, love for the ministry, and love for the people I will be able to serve on the World Race. That’s my favorite thing, the love part. 🙂
It blesses my soul to the very depths to know that there are people in my life that love enough to want to support me. It blesses my soul to the very depths to be able to simply sit and thank God for relationships that have turned into ministry partnerships. It blesses my soul to see that 2%.
To my first three precious donors: you know who you are and I thank you each from the bottom of my heart. You are all in your 20s and I know there are several other things competing for your finances. Thank-you so much for sacrificing part of your paycheck in order to help me be funded for the World Race. I promise to be a good steward and to update you as much as possible while I am on the Race. I want you to be sure to know how your contribution is doing good things for the kingdom of God. I have only known one of you since August, I have only physically been in the presence of another one of you twice since we first met over 5 years ago, and the other one of you I have grown up with since day 1 on Earth — you are all different, you are all precious, you are all a huge blessing, and you are all VERY appreciated!
So to all of you reading along, celebrate that 2% with me! Praise God for His ever faithful provision with me! Every dollar is a blessing from Him through His people. I am so thankful and excited that His people are welcoming Him to use them to bless one another! Be excited with me. 🙂
Here’s to God doubling what had been in my account a week ago and to what He will continue doing day after day! Pray up some miracles, folks, ’cause He is always listening to His children.
