It is Month 7 of the World Race. The majority of my Race is behind me. There are times I don’t quite believe this is the life I’ve been living for these past months, but, on the other hand, I can’t imagine doing anything else. God has been so faithful and so good to me during the past 16 months of preparation and action.
It is now the beginning of the end of this season of my life. Many questions have been stirring in my head of what I’ll be doing upon my return to the States, and I’ve been taking them straight to the Lord. I still don’t know if I’ll be preparing a classroom for a new group of students in August or if I’ll be heading down a different path.
The one thing I do know is my return date! My feet will once again touch U.S. soil just after 5pm on May 20, 2016… Annaleigh and Clara’s 4th Birthday!! Girls, I know you can’t read yet, but your Aunt MC is so excited to be coming home on your birthday!
My squad and I will be reentering the country in Miami, Florida. My original fundraising goal only covered the cost of me getting back to the States… which doesn’t always equal getting home.
