Yesterday was my last day as a public school teacher for at least an entire school year. I don’t know what God will lead me to when I return from the World Race, but knowing that I will not be getting another paycheck for quite some time is definitely a little weird. My students (most of whom I have had for two years) and my wonderful former assistant threw me a sweet going away party. I never saw myself leaving education, but God continues to assure me that I’m following His call by providing the needed finances for the World Race.
I would like to thank all of my donors for your generous gifts and support towards my Race! Thanks to you I have almost raised all of the funds needed for my trip! I cannot thank you enough for allowing me the opportunity to serve God’s people the way I will while on this challenging adventure. I wanted to let you know that once I reach $16,277 any donations will go to the “Adventures General Fund” to support the ministries of Adventures in Missions.

Personal Spending Fund
There will be times on the World Race where our $4 per day food budget doesn’t quite fit- mainly during debrief and travel days since prices in airports tend to be quite inflated. There will also be times when we may choose to bless our ministry partners or the people we are serving by buying supplies or gifts.

Prayer Requests
In addition to the prayer requests I recently shared in my last post, all July Racers report to Gainesville, Georgia on Thursday for Training Camp. Please pray for us as we spend 10 days meeting our squads and preparing for launch. Many aspects of Training Camp are kept from Racers in order to better equip us for the unknown we will likely experience over the course of our trip.
