Well, writing about myself seems a little weird, but here goes nothing!

My name is Mary Catherine.

I am a daughter, sister, and aunt. My parents are the greatest, and so are my BiG bro and sis-in-law.  My twin nieces are the sweetest, craziest, most precious little girls in the world.

I have my blood family, and my friends that have turned into family.

I may be biased, but I definitely have the best family in the world.

My church has been a constant in my life, and I am so thankful for parents who raised me in church.  My BIG, small group is amazingly wonderful.

I pour my heart and soul into “my people.” I just love them all so much!

I say “y’all” because I’m from the South, and I LOVE the South.

I am a Charlotte native, which is extremely rare.

I graduated from UNC Asheville in 2009, and have been an elementary school teacher ever since.

I have a servant heart. I long to make a difference and be helpful. The only time I got in trouble in Kindergarten was because I cleaned up someone else’s mess… I didn’t take it very well. 🙂

Ultimately, I am a sinner, and I need a whole lot of Jesus.

I can promise you that living out of a backpack for 11 months is not anything “my people” thought I’d be doing. I love the comforts of home, and yet I am so excited to trek the world sharing the Gospel with the people I meet along the way.

God is calling me, and I am listening.
