The Lord has really been putting education on my heart lately… Not the kind of education you get in school but the kind you get by living. I’ve been given an opportunity that few have, and He wants me to tell you about what I’ve seen and experienced. Life in third world countries is eye-opening and mind-blowing. Even though I read about it and saw it on the news, living it is completely different.

In the past 9 months, I can count on one hand the number of months I’ve had…

Drinkable tap water: Three times, but even then it was still questionable.

Washing machine: Three times

Air conditioning: Twice, but only at night

Freedom to go places alone: Once

My own room: Once

Warm showers: Once

24/7 WiFi: Once

Had more than $5 per day for food, lodging or local transportation: ZERO

But here’s the kicker… Although we live very simple lives on the field, we still live much better than most, if not all, of the people we serve.
