I have had the honor of being a part of the body of Christ at Crossroads Community Fellowship for a little over three years now.  In that short time I have been blessed with many friendships and seen how God can move and change your life in ways you wouldn't even think to expect.
This year we said goodbye to two very faithful servents. Grace was a loving woman who gave so much of herself. She taught writting classes and how to journal your life. She always had a story and time to spend with you. She never once complained about the cancer that was eating her body. She was ready to stand in the presents of her Abba Father. She was ready to go home. So when she passed away we were beyond sad to say goodbye but rejoicing that she was finally home.
A week later we have to say goodbye to Don. And it seems harder to say goodbye to him. We weren't ready to do that yet. He also never complained about the cancer, or how it seemed to get worse and then a little better and then just bad again. He loved our church and served and just wanted to praise God and worship with us as much as possible. Our last communion he served the bread and juice with the other ushers. You know what he said after that? He thanked us for letting him serve us one last time. He was blessed by serving us. And we were beyond blessed to have Don. He is a great man of God. God gives and takes away. And it is always good and right. I praise you Lord that Don is free of the cancer and living with you now! Thank you for the time we had with him!  While my heart hurts so much for the family left behind it also soars to know that Don is with Abba. There is no better place to be!
So I share all of this in hopes that maybe someone else can see the blessing death can bring. A reminder that this life isn't what we are living for. We are living for the ONE and ONLY God and to bring HIS love to the nations.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is GOOD, his LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!
