By now, a lot of people in my life know that I am stepping out into a next season! But many of you have asked or perhaps wondered, what exactly will I be doing?
I am participating in a program called “Kingdom Journeys” through Adventures in Missions (the same organization that facilitates the World Race program). I am preparing to leave in January 2016, to visit 3 different countries (TBA), with a small all-female team. We will be building relationships with women, through these relationships and a women’s retreat we will be giving them a safe place to experience God, engage in a supportive community, and call them into their identity in Christ.
Part of our ministry will be to disciple and build up women to rise up as leaders. When it’s time to say goodbye (after 2 months) we hope that women will have the foundations a sustainable supportive community, that can continue to grow, and empower other women within the community.
I love the vision and heart behind Kingdom Journeys for Women. The heart to call women out of oppression, the importance of storytelling, the opportunity to share the freedom that is in Christ, and the desire to foster sustainable community.
