Guess what arrived?!?!

Some of my gear!

Tent, sleeping pad, headlamp, sleeping bag liner, water bottle & sleeping bag!

Thanks Andrea & Jeff for driving it from NB to Halifax! Thanks to my NB parents for picking it up in Maine (It was purchased online & delivered to a hardware store in Calais)! I ordered it all 2 months ago and I am so excited to receive it this week!!!

I’ve also purchased my daypack, and my large pack (although I don’t love it, but it’s the best one I’ve found yet!).

Still needed:

  • a few stuff sacks
  • hikers
  • sandals
  • dishes/utensils
  • a knife
  • water purifier (I found a really cheap, small, & efficient one!)
  • many other little things that add up! .

I am amazed at how God has been providing! I need to raise a total of $16200 (USD!). And that doesn’t include:

  • my gear
  • vaccinations (At least $1500)
  • travel to training
  • travel to launch
  • personal money while on the WR

When you add it all up, it seems overwhelming.

BUT so far, God has provided.

My pack was purchased with Christmas money.
My daypack was over 60% off ($130 + tax, I paid $50!).
My large gear purchase was made possible by extra shifts at a third job
(full time + causal + seasonal = 3 jobs!).
My travel to training was paid for by my tax return.
My GFA missionary I sponsor will be paid for my money
I had leftover after my car was paid off.

AND I am nearly 50% funded for my World Race fees. I can trust God with this. I know that He has called me to this. I can see how he has provided thus far. When I think about all the money I need to spend and raise, I honestly sometimes get a little overwhelmed. I like to know how the money is going to come in, but I can’t plan my way through all this! I can’t control whether people will respond to my request for support. All I can do is trust and wait! God will provide!
