If you read my blog recently you may have learned that I was stung by a mean ole jellyfish while taking my debut swim in the Pacific Ocean in September.

All was healing well (slowly but surely) until I came to Cambodia. Whether the water caused it to get infected or it just needed time to let the poison from the sting fester…it got infected. A week ago is was quite nasty! It looked like a chemical burn and felt like I would think a chemical burn would! It hurt to actually walk or sit at times…did I mention it’s pretty much on my butt it’s so high up my thigh? (It’s ok, you can laugh, it’s sort of hilarious)

Last Saturday I went to see the doctor. Last Sunday I went to see the doctor again. Thursday I drove an hour back to the city to see the doctor again. I have taken strong antibiotics for 5 days. One of my amazing teammates cleans my wound, applies ointment, and re-bandages it nightly.

I have been so blessed to have a teammate who will serve me in this way. I am so thankful for my friend Danielle who lives in the city and recommended a good doctor. And for her family, who allowed our team to stay with them on 2 occasions this month!

Now for the purpose of this post. [SEE UPDATE BELOW!] My medical bills were just over $100 for all of my medical visits, transportation, creams, etc. I am currently waiting for my WR account to be updated and when that happens I’ll be fully funded! My medical expenses have come out of my personal emergency fund (it had $100 in it). If you would like to help cover these expenses please send me a personal email to [email protected]. Your support would be much appreciated! Email money transfer or PayPal would be amazing! I’ll have wifi over the next couple of days, so I’ll update my blog as soon as these expenses are covered!

Thank you all so much for your ongoing love and support!

THANK YOU ALL for your support! In under 24 hours my expenses for my jellyfish sting have been provided for. I am so thankful and blessed! If you would like to continue supporting me financially, please email me at [email protected].  I am fully funded with my world race account and do not need further support via my blog. Thank you for praying!
