Month 8 Romania

11 things I did during ministry this month:

1. Taught English to some amazing 6-8 year olds
2. Helped the same kids with math
3. Learned to count to 10 in Romanian
4. Decorated cookies, sang songs, & played games with the kiddos.
5. Sorted clothing donations
6. Went on home visits & brought food to families
7. Hope for the Community Facebook page moved from 121 to 366 likes.
8. Designed a fundraising flyer
9. Gave my testimony in church
10. Cleaned the church
11. Handed out tracks and invited people to English classes in a town 90 minutes away from Draganesti.

11 modes of transportation:
1. Bus from the airport to Draganesti.
2. White van (that broke down twice) on a weekend trip.
3. Red van, that picked us up on the side of the road.
4. Black car around Daganesti with ministry.
5. Different white van to church in a village.
6. My feet…back and forth from the mission house to church a million times.
7. A different bus to Cravioa for ministry.
8. Original white van to train station.
9. Train to Bucharest, then to Brasov.
10. Taxis in Brasov…including to Dracula’s castle!
11. City bus from the train station to our hostel…with our big packs!

11 “Soups” we had this month:

(Eastern Europe = opposite of Asia)
1. Cornbread 
2. Brown bread, still warm!

5. Chocolate cake
6. Pretzels
7. Gogoshi (kinda like a Beavertail, but the filling is in the middle) 
8. Fresh cinnamon rolls 
9. Oatmeal cookies
10. Gigi’s rings 
11. Gigi’s apple strudel

11 things I could make a list of:
1. 11 different sweaters Angela wore
2. 11 dogs Courtney played with
3. 11 different thrift shops people frequented
4. 11 different gogoshi trips Lauren made
5. 11 times LeAnn had squad announcements as Raul’s personal assistant
6. 11 different people who wore that grey and red button up sweater
7. 11 people who at any moment would be wearing a flannel shirt
8. 11 water bottles we’d go through each day
9. 11 people who went rouge and walked by themselves…shout out to Dresdyn
10. 11 times in a two minute period the guy working at the beverage place on the side of the road would say “Buna” to the Americans
11. 11 times we had team time this month (that’s really bad, we’re supposed to have it daily)
