As I am writing this my stomach is full of butterflies and doing flips of excitement because I am here to tell you that I am officially FULLY FUNDED!!! HOLY MOLY!! That means this is actually happening!!
I could not have made this happen without every one of you! There are not enough words to describe how thankful and honored I am to be surrounded by so many supportive and generous people. I have been constantly reminded how blessed I am to have grown up in a community that is willing and wanting to be a part of each other’s journeys in any and every way possible. You all have blown me away with how quickly you jumped on board with what God is calling me into for this next year.
God has placed people in my life who know how to love so well and so deeply. Lately I have been on the receiving end of a whole lot of that love. Every single donation, prayer, and encouraging word I have received over the past 7 months has shown me I am not in this alone. There is a lot that is going to happen over the next year of my life. It is one of the most comforting things to know that I am not doing this on my own but that I have a full team of people who are a part of this journey with me. I have some of the BEST people in my corner! My heart is overflowing with warm and fuzzy feeling for all of you.
Fundraising has taught me a lot about letting go of my own expectations and desire for control, but most of all it has shown me the impact of having a loving community. Thank you all for loving me so so well! Because of the way you all have loved me I am more prepared and ready to go love on other people around the world. So again, I say thank you and I encourage you too keep loving the people around; it will make the world a very different and better place!
As Launch quickly approaches (4 DAYS!!), here are a couple things to know:

Also if you want to know about something I am not answering in my blog, let me know! I want to post about what you want to hear about so please send me questions or topics I am not covering and I will do my best to tell you about it!
Reality check: WiFi is going to be less dependable than we are used too and I am going to be finding a balance between being present in each country and keeping in touch with all of you. This means I may not get a chance to respond or my responses might be delayed. But it does not mean I don’t want to hear from you!!
Secondly, I have some people who still want to support me financially but hear I am fully funded.
If that is you, as I continue to prepare for the Race I still have financial needs (supplies, gear, immunizations, etc.) that are not covered in the $18,700. So if you are wanting to still support me financially that would be amazing! You would just give directly to me, instead of through my blog. If you have questions please reach out and we can talk about how it all works!
Also you may have noticed the donation bar above is not filled completely. This is because the donations have been given it is just going to take a little while for it to be processed. So do not worry it will be full in no time.
The last thing is for all my prayer warriors out there!
You make up the foundation of this trip, thank you in advance for joining me in helping to further the Kingdom of God from where you are! This is not something I take lightly, your prayers are extremely powerful. That being said at the end of most of my blogs I will have a section of prayer requests where I will keep you up-to-date on specific ways you can be praying. This is as much of your trip as it is to mine, so thank you again for doing this with me!
